How to get there: Those coming from Istanbul and Ankara should head 34 kilometers from Düzce city center towards Akçakoca, then continue 8 kilometers south to reach Fakıllı Village.

Fakıllı Cave is located in Fakıllı village, 8 km southeast of Akçakoca district in Düzce. It is registered as a first-degree protected site by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Regional Directorate for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage. Named after the village it is located in, the cave has a total length of 1,017 meters, with 350 meters open to visitors.

The cave, possessing natural features, contains galleries leading in various directions, as well as stalactites and stalagmites. Areas known as the "white rooms" are particularly rich in dripstone formations. During rainy periods, significant water enters the cave through sinkhole entrances. Characterized by its multi-stage development, Fakıllı Cave is a semi-active cave. Due to its proximity to the surface, it has a humid, warm, and cool climate that varies greatly between summer and winter. The cave's air is said to be beneficial for asthma and shortness of breath. The area surrounding the cave has been landscaped and is used as a picnic area. Source: Düzce Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism
