Hazelnut Candy

 

1 kg shelled hazelnuts

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

How to Make Hazelnut Candy:

 

Roast the hazelnuts and after they cool, remove the shells. Then, boil 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water to prepare a thick syrup. Add the hazelnuts to the syrup. Remove from heat and stir continuously until the mixture cools and the syrup crystallizes. Let the crystallized hazelnuts cool separately. Food coloring can be added for color if desired.
