How to Get There: Samandere Waterfall Nature Monument is located in Samandere Village, Beyköy Town, southeast of Düzce. It is 15 kilometers from Beyköy town, 24 kilometers from Düzce, 20 kilometers from the TEM Highway, and 26 kilometers from the D-100 Highway.
Samandere Waterfall Natural Monument boasts a rich and pristine vegetation with interesting geological features such as cascades, waterfalls, and a "witch's cauldron," as well as monumental trees in some areas. Samandere Waterfall Natural Monument is one of the first registered natural monuments in our country. Along a 500-meter stretch of stream, monumental trees, three waterfalls, and a deep section called the "Witch's Cauldron" are registered.
The waters, rushing violently through the trees, cascade down in white foam, seemingly boiling within the deep rocks of the "Witch's Cauldron." The waters, which disappear for a while in a naturally formed cave behind the waterfall, reappear a little further on, continuing their flow.
Samandere Waterfall Natural Monument is a protected natural asset. The area, where rich vegetation blends with the sound of water, offers picnic and recreation areas, nature trails, camping areas, and forest resting places, creating a magnificent natural beauty.
